Ajay Gupta

Chairman and Non-Executive Independent Director

Ajay Gupta is the Chairman and Non-Executive Independent Director of Healthium Medtech. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Leland Stanford Junior University. He has more than 28 years of global management consulting experience. He was previously a senior partner at McKinsey & Company, Inc.

Anish Bafna

CEO & MD, Healthium

Anish Bafna is the CEO & MD, Healthium at Healthium Medtech. He has a post graduate diploma in Management from IMDR, Pune. He has significant experience in the Healthcare industry. Prior to joining Healthium, he worked with Baxter Healthcare (Asia) Pte Ltd as General Manager, Emerging Asia. He manages the overall operations and resources in the Company.

Namrata Kaul

Non-Executive Independent Director

She holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. She has also been awarded the Chevening Gurukul scholarship in Leadership and Excellence programme by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office to study at the London School of Economics and Political Science. She was previously working with ANZ Grindlays Bank PLC and the Deutsche Bank AG.

Ramesh Subrahmanian

Non-Executive Independent Director

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the University of Mumbai and has qualified as a Chartered Accountant in England and Wales. He has significant experience in the pharmaceutical and medical devices industries. He has previously worked with KCI Medical Asia Pte. Limited, Stryker Corporation and MERCK.

Steven Dyson

Non-Executive Nominee Director

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Oxford University and a doctorate from Cambridge University. He has over 21 years of experience in private equity investment advisory. He is currently a partner and co-head of the healthcare team at Apax Partners LLP.

Sudarshan Jain

Non-Executive Nominee Director

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Science, specialising in Physics from Delhi University and a post graduate diploma in Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. He has 40 years of experience in the Healthcare industry and Education sector. He previously worked at Abbott Healthcare Private Limited, Boots Pharmaceuticals Limited, Ethnor Limited and Piramal Healthcare and is presently the Secretary General of the Indian Pharmaceutical Alliance.

Mohammed Azeez

Whole-time Director and the Chief Operating Officer, Healthium

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Science from Bangalore University and a Master’s degree in Science, specialising in Microbiology from Bangalore University. Prior to joining Healthium, he was working with United Medical Industries Co. Limited as a microbiologist, quality control supervisor and a quality assurance manager. He oversees all daily operations and sets strategies for overall production planning for both export and domestic business.

Marco Bonaiti

Whole-time Director and the Chief Operating Officer, Healthium

He holds a Bachelor degree and a Master of Science degree from Politecnico di Milano and a Master in Business Administration degree from Harvard University. He has over 10 years of experience in management consulting and private equity investment advisory. He is currently a Principal in the Apax Partners LLP healthcare team. Prior to joining Apax Partners LLP, Marco worked as a Business Analyst at McKinsey & Company in their Milan office.

Vishal Maheshwari

CFO, Healthium

He is the CFO, Healthium at Healthium Medtech. Prior to joining Healthium, he had stints with Abbott Healthcare Private Limited and Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. He is an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and a cost accountant from the Institute of Cost Accountants of India.

Kankana Barua

CHRO, Healthium

She is the CHRO, Healthium Medtech. Prior to joining Healthium, she was Chief People Officer at Tally Solutions Private Limited. She is an Associate member of The Institute of Company Secretaries of India. She also holds a degree in law and a degree in Human Resource Management.

Prashant Krishnan

Global Business Unit Head - Advanced Surgicals and Wound care

Prashant brings more than 27 years of experience and has an excellent track record of leading businesses across India, South Asia and the US in various leadership positions across Surgery, Cardiology and Orthopaedics medical devices. Previously, Prashant has been associated with companies like Medtronic, Johnson & Johnson, Godrej & Boyce and has delivered significant transformations for the businesses that he has led; his key role in working with Niti Aayog & USIBC for the Ventilator project during the Covid period has been recognised globally. He is an alumni of XIM Bhubaneshwar and Wharton school, Pennsylvania.

Anoop Penupolu

Head - Arthroscopy, Healthium Medtech

Anoop leads the Arthroscopy division of Healthium that creates minimally invasive arthroscopic products. He has been instrumental in driving R & D and creating the Sironix portfolio of implants, instruments and capital equipment with a focus on innovative product designs that are easy to use for Doctors and in creating better patient outcomes. Anoop joined Healthium in 2015 handling new products and the consumex portfolio. In his earlier assignments, he has worked in the FMCG sector and the Alco-bev Industry.

Vivek Singh

Head-Needle Business(QNPL)

Vivek joined Quality Needles in July 2018 as CEO and is responsible for transformation and growth in the Needles Business. Vivek holds an Engineering degree from BITS -Pilani and an MBA from Amity Business School. He has held leadership roles across leading engineering organizations with a rich experience of over 30 Years. Before joining Quality Needles, he was the MD & CEO for the Indian operations of SAMCO Machinery Limited-a Canada based global engineering organization.

Anand Venkat

Chief Innovation Officer, Healthium

Anand joined the Healthium Team in 2021, with the acquisition of CareNow Medical. As the Chief Innovation Officer, Anand develops and steers new product strategies and drives OEM efforts. Anand has over 20 years of experience in Healthcare both in the US and India. A graduate in Electrical engineering, Anand has worked for Stryker Endoscopy in US for 10 years prior to Founding CareNow Medical in India. He is passionate in developing innovative solutions for patient care in Pre-Op/Post-Op and Intra-Op in the Healthcare setup.

Dr.Ashok Moharana

Head -Clinical Affairs, Healthium Medtech

Dr. Ashok joined Healthium in January 2019. Providing scientific leadership to Healthium, Dr. Ashok primarily focuses on creating a compliant, scientifically driven organisation, with responsibilities on clinical evidence generation, engaging and partnering with KOLs and driving innovations in the medtech field through co-creating and developing new products that enhance user-experience for surgeons and result in better patient outcomes. A dynamic and forward-looking professional with over 22 years of experience in Clinical/Medical, Regulatory Affairs, Patient safety and Change Management, Dr. Ashok has been instrumental in providing strategic and transformational guidance to the Life-sciences Businesses in India and in the Asia-Pacific region. He has a proven record on successfully driving key cross-functional initiatives towards new product research and product life-cycle management as well as building high performing, proactive and agile teams across different organisations both at national and international level. Prior to joining Healthium, Dr. Ashok has had a significant tenure with Baxter International Inc., Novo Nordisk, Ranbaxy Pharmaceuticals, and Dr. Reddy’s Group both in India and the Asia Pacific.

Raajjhesh Kulkarni

Head - Quality, Healthium Medtech

Raajjhesh joined Healthium in Oct 2018 as Head Quality. Raajjhesh brings with him over 25 years of diverse experience in Domestic and International markets, across Manufacturing, Product Development, Quality and Regulatory Affairs by working in companies like Johnson & Johnson Pvt. Ltd., Mentor WW LLC, Baxter India Pvt. Ltd. His focused efforts towards reliable product quality & service to the customer, meeting new customer needs and ensuring audit-ready sites are taking Healthium to the next level.

Rajiv Poddar

Head - Strategy and M&A

Rajiv is the Head of " Strategy and M&A at Healthium Medtech. Rajiv brings with him over 15 years of experience in Corporate Strategy and M&A, Investment Banking and Private Equity. Prior to joining Healthium, Rajiv held progressive leadership roles in leading pharma companies like Dr. Reddy's Laboratories and Viyash Life Sciences. Earlier, he worked for PE fund Helix Investments and ICICI Securities. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and received his MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow.

Pallavi Karkera

Company Secretary and Compliance Officer

She is the Company Secretary and Compliance Officer at Healthium Medtech. Prior to joining Healthium, she was Company Secretary for Toyota Financial Service India Limited, Ocwen Financial Solutions Private Limited and Ozone Propex Private Limited. She is an Associate member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the Mangalore University, a Master’s degree in Commerce from Mangalore University and a Master’s degree in Business Law from the National Law School of India, Bangalore University.
